The last meeting was a great brainstorming session.  We discussed lots of ideas for advertising, fundraising, events, and activities.  We plan to start putting brochures in local businesses and public facilities that could reach people who might be interested in our group.  The libraries, Mountain High Outfitters, and Alabama Outdoors were just a few of the locations mentioned.  We also discussed putting together a list of contacts for all the outdoor and like minded groups in Northeast Alabama as a reference. If you have any advertising ideas, please email them to me or bring them to the next meeting.  We continued discussion of a fall multi-day trail work session in the Walls of Jericho, and that is being worked out.  We hope to have a Land Trust trail work day coming soon too.  We will continue discussion of these ideas and check in on progress at the next meeting (Aug 25).  We will discuss the Chapter Bylaws and finances as well to give us a good solid base.
